Unidentified Man Shot Five Times In Harlem Playground


An unidentified  22-year-old male was shot five times last night in a St. Nicholas Houses   NYCHA playground.  The victim was shot in the torso and leg according to police. He was taken to Harlem Hospital and is expected to live.  

The assailant fled on foot. He is described as a black male with braids wearing a black hoodie. - Geoffrey Croft

Children at a Harlem playground scrambled for cover Saturday when a gunman shot a rival five times in the chest, authorities said according to the NY Daily News.

 “It was a lot of shots, and everybody started running,” stunned witness Casandra Price said of the 7:14 p.m. shooting inside the St. Nicholas Houses. 

“Kids were scattering and screaming.”  

The unidentified 22-year-old victim miraculously survived, cops said. He was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he remained in critical condition early Sunday.
